System Configuration

Each account has a system configuration which is the basis for its report data.

Configuration

The configuration includes two parts:

  • Water system components like boilers and cooling towers, where you’ll take water samples
  • Tests like conductivity and pH, including calculated values like cycles.

You can edit an account’s system configuration by navigating to “Configure” > “Water System”

Setting up a water system for reporting with Aqualytics

Water System Components

When setting up an account in Aqualytics, enter all the parts of the account’s water system where you take samples and run tests. The components might be:

  • Makeup
  • Feedwater tanks
  • Softeners
  • Boilers
  • Condensate returns
  • Cooling towers
  • Closed loops

Additionally, feedwater tanks, softeners, boilers, and condensate returns may be grouped into boiler systems, causing them to appear together in reports. For example:

Tests

Tests include any test you might run on a water sample and values derived from those tests.

If you check the box for a test under a component in the water system, then that test will appear in the data entry view and in finished reports.

You’ll find the list of supported tests and calculations in the “Add Test” menu. If you can’t find a test that you use, please let us know by email and we’ll investigate adding it: hello@aqualyticsreports.com.
